
Francesca is a Researcher at the Euro-Mediterranean Center on Climate Change (CMCC) in Venice, Italy where she works on innovation for climate change. She is also a near completion PhD student in Climate Change Sciences and Management at Ca’ Foscari University (Venice, Italy). Francesca is a climate services specialist. Particularly, she nurtured competences in complexity science and networks of climate innovations to help shifting from useful to usable science. Economist by training (MSc Economic and Social Sciences from Bocconi University and BA in Economics from the University of Pisa), Francesca has advanced programming skills and knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative methods. Prior to joining CMCC, she worked for the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO), the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT) in Europe, African and Central America. Francesca is Italian by birth fully proficient in Spanish and English (C2) with intermediate knowledge of French (B2).
