
Max Falkenberg is a physicist working on a broad range of topics across computational social science, principally using methods from complexity and network science. Currently, Max specialises in using network methods to understand the structural aspects of social polarisation, with a particular emphasis on polarised views around climate change.
Max completed both his undergraduate degree and PhD at Imperial College London, before moving to City, University of London as a Postdoctoral researcher. He is particularly interested in strengthening the policy impact of his work, having previously interned for the UK Parliament and having written opinion and policy pieces for think tanks and academic centres including the Grantham Centre at LSE. His work has been covered on BBC radio, on RAI television, and in the Guardian and Times newspapers. For The Times, Max contributed bespoke analysis as part of their coverage of climate misinformation on Twitter.
